1. THE FOUNDATION OF LEADERSHIP AND TEAMS (30 HOURS)

• Understanding the buzz, shifting from transactional leadership to transformational leadership

• Consider the value of working in teams, and what a team needs in order to function successfully

• Gain an understanding of ‘Employee Empowerment’, and the Leader’s role in inspiring people to perform at their greatest potential • Understanding productivity is not the sole ingredient of a successful business

2. DEVELOPING AND EMPOWERING PEOPLE (30 HOURS)

• Discover the meaning of ‘Situational Leadership’, and how to employ various styles of Leadership for developing and supporting your people

• Consider the leader’s role in skill transference, induction and training

• Discuss what ‘coaching’ means, and techniques for successful coaching

• Discuss the principles of effective delegation

• Discussing the division of labour

• Setting boundaries and how to get people not to cross them while maintaining an empowered workforce

3. REWARDING AND CORRECTING PEOPLE’S BEHAVIOUR (30 HOURS)

• Becoming aware of the power of reward, recognition and positive reinforcement.

• Developing an approach to correcting people’s mistakes, which leads to improved performance and confidence.

• Appraisal, criticism, and constructive feedback

This training is primarily hands-on. Assessment methods therefore include:

• Direct observation during classroom sessions

• Checks for understanding, Q+A, and class participation

• Adequate completion of homework given in all modules

COURSE INFORMATION

• Number of Trainees: Maximum 10 students

• Training Frequency: 150 hours in total

• Delivery Method: Onsite training in a classroom or workplace, instructor-led format

• Tuition Cost: $200/hr (Total tuition $30,000)
